US-based packaging company ProAmpac has created a new team to make flexible packaging offering available to home, health and beauty (HHB) markets.

The cross-functional team comprises professionals with experience in fields such as product-development, product-innovation, materials-engineering, package-design and graphics.

ProAmpac chief commercial officer Adam Grose said: “Our new HHB team draws on ProAmpac’s vast capabilities in materials science and packaging technologies, including custom fitments, short and long-run production and pouch converting.”

The newly formed HHB packaging team will also support the production of flexible packaging offerings to the market segment.

ProAmpac’s existing packaging portfolio for HHB markets include child-resistant, easy-open and re-closable pouch solutions, Signature Soft Touch film coating for packaging cosmetics, and PRO-PEEL films for medical applications.

It also includes speciality films for lotions, high-barrier packaging for diagnostic products and a pouch-stocking programme for client requirements.

Printed and un-printed pouching prototyping services are also available under its HHB packaging offering portfolio.“Our HHB Team also supports Collaborative Innovation – ProAmpac’s initiative that involves intensive collaboration internally.”

HHB sales leader Bob Bodell said: “Our HHB Team also supports Collaborative Innovation – ProAmpac’s initiative that involves intensive collaboration internally, and, when needed, equally close collaboration externally with our customers’ personnel.”

Owned by Pritzker Private Capital, ProAmpac focuses on providing flexible packaging solutions globally.

The company is also engaged in innovating new flexible packaging solutions within the company and with its customers and suppliers.

It has 4,000 employees across its 35 manufacturing centres in seven countries. The manufacturing sites are located in the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, Switzerland, and Southeast Asia.

Last year, ProAmpac acquired pet food packaging firm Gateway Packaging. Gateway produces multi-wall bags, stand-up pouches, quad-seal bags and box pouches among other products.
