UK company seeks manufacturing agreement with supplier of flexible printed bags for food products

A UK packaging designer for the food retail sector is looking to outsource the manufacturing and is seeking a partner to supply them with printed flexible packaging materials for meat products. Specifically they are looking for a supplier of white printable oxo-biodegradable packaging for regular fulfillment to technical specification to be provided.

The well-established UK packaging design agency is supplying packaging in the convenience food sector and supply major food retailers in the UK. They currently produce around 200 million cartons a year, the majority of which are for the FMCG market, mainly in food and drink. They have developed many innovative packaging solutions for large blue-chip brands and have been first-to-market with carton-based packs in industries dominated by plastic. Their objective in sales is to partner with others packaging companies to help them achieve growth and market penetration. They are always looking to offer their customers a complete packaging solution to enable them to focus on additional revenue streams and development.

They are currently looking for a potential supplier who will be more competitive than they current supplier.

They are looking for flexible printed film oxolife degradable white polythene bag. They currently have four lines and their regular orders would be for 40,000 items

The UK company can send samples and technical specifications to companies interested.

Material Identification
LD Polythene is a recyclable material where processes and finished product allow.
This material can be denoted by the SPI identification symbol of ?4?printed within the symbol. This I.D. and coding system can be printed on to the packaging at the request of the customer.

Food Contact
EU EU ?Framework? Regulation (EC) No.1935/2004 on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food and with Regulation (EC) No.2023/2006 on good manufacturing practice for materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.
Regulation No. EU 1183/2012 ? Plastic materials and articles intended for contact with food (amending Regulation EU 10/2011)
The film is in compliance with the requirements of Articles 2, 3 and 4 of Regulation (EC) No.1895/2005 on the restriction of use of certain epoxy derivatives in materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.
This food contact material complies with all ?Materials and Articles in Contact with Food Regulations 1987? (SI 1987 No.1523) any plastic component polymers used are made exclusively from those substances on the approved list in the ?Plastic Materials and Articles in Contact with Food Regulations 1998? (SI 1998No.1376).

The partner would be supplying large quantity of printed flexible packaging bags. The materials has to meet the technical specifications.
