Belgian company offers subcontracting opportunities to printing companies for

A Belgian SME is seeking new suppliers of printed food packaging, printed woven and non-woven bags, e-commerce packaging and digital paper printing. The ideal partner would be an Eastern Europe company, by preference from Poland or Czech Republic regarding the transport cost, but also other interested potential partners will be taken in consideration. The co-operation will be based on subcontracting.

Descripción completa

This recently founded Belgian SME with an experienced team acts as a one-stop print partner for a wide variety of printed products and promotional items for a number of customers in the Benelux countries. They guarantee their customers a fair and most competitive price, high quality products and flexible delivery times. The process of ordering printed products is highly digitalized and optimized by their in-house developed ERP-system. They have a network of partners to who they subcontract all the production and printing activities. The design is mostly done in Belgium, sometimes in consultation with the producer.

The Belgian company has the ambition to offer a complete range of printed items. At this moment they want to extend their activities to the hospitality market. Therefore they want to strengthen their network with new subcontractors able to produce HoReCa (Hotel-Restaurant-Catering) supplies: food packaging and disposables (napkins, paper cups, plastic cups, pizza boxes, soup containers, etc.).
Furthermore they are searching for carry/carrier bags, (e-commerce) packaging like shipping boxes and bags, gift boxes and bags. They are also interested in cooperation with digital paper printing companies for books, leaflets, brochures etc.

The Belgian company expects to find subcontracting partners in Eastern Europe, but not exclusively. Because of the inclusion of transport costs in final price calculations Polish partner companies are especially interesting.

Socio buscado:

- Type of partner sought: Typical examples of the products searched for are cardboard and plastic cups, napkins, plates, cutlery with logos printed on it, pizza boxes, hamburger foam boxes, noodle boxes, praline boxes, window boxes for cakes, sandwich packaging, cones, pita and kebab packaging. All these products should be food compliant.

The required bags are made from glossy, laminated, woven and non-woven fabrics, printed in full-color. The searched boxes are intended for gifts and for e-commerce.

The digital paper printing concerns books, leaflets and brochures.
More and more customers ask for the use of ecological materials such as recycled paper, bio plastics and non-solvent inks.
- Specific area of activity of the partner: The future co-operation partners that the Belgian client has in mind are reliable manufacturing companies of various materials like paper, cardboard, plastic and textile. The partners have extensive experience and expertise in these fields and are suspected to demonstrate craftsmanship, to response fast to price inquiries (within 48 hours) or to work with price-lists, to offer competitive quotes, constant quality conform requirements, to respect delivery times. They have references in the concerned markets and communicate good in English.

The cooperation will be based on mutual trust with a focus on building a long-term partnership.
The initial approach is subcontracting, but at the long term it is expected that both partners will know each other?s work-flow and pricing so the collaboration goes smother and faster.
Then the Belgian company acts as a kind of sales office for the production houses and focuses on non-technical matters as sales, marketing, finance etc. Logistics are often arranged in dialogue, but in many countries the Belgian company already has contacts for transport of pallets and packages.
The manufacturing partner is supposed to focus on raw material sourcing, efficient production, machines, people, quality. The cooperation allows the partner to optimize his machine capacity utilization. Thanks to the partnership they get entrance to new markets, among others to governmental and big companies? assignments, which they never could acquire alone. For them also the payment risks inherent to exporting are reduced. The cooperation is a win-win for both companies.
